If you're not as wealthy and maybe have 200 or 300 one ounce coins, it can still be a good way to store them if you don't want to keep them elsewhere.

Yeah I understand that, for smaller amounts it's a good solution.

I have a gold bar 1 Kg in my company. Have been there for the last 15 years! No problems storing it there.

If it's just sitting in your office and you don't have many visitors, or none at all, then there's no problem having a 1kg gold bar on display.

I have a Krugerrand sparkling in a stand that constantly reminds me of the day I could afford to buy my first gold coin with my own hard-earned money. It's a great source of motivation.

Maybe I should swap my Krugerrand for a shiny 1kg gold bar instead”¦ 😀

Yes, it's incredibly motivating to have a gold bar displayed in a glass case on a black pedestal, with lights making the gold shine. It's better than fresh flowers!

Some people have gold coins and gold bars on display, and I guess you've got a sea of blondes standing around instead.

This is an intriguing use case for gold.
The best way I've found to use it myself is as a doorstop.

Let's see if you will use your doorstop if there is no electricity for a few months.

and your brother @JohnnyDoe swear by BTC and have probably invested your entire fortune in it, which is why you talk it up everywhere you go, trying to get people to buy BTC and believe it's the only thing of value or worth investing in.

Go ahead, but ruining every thread with your BTC comments is just plain ridiculous. I'm surprised they're not removed. It's impossible to discuss anything else because, for you, BTC is the only thing that holds value or is worth investing in!

It gets a bit tedious to listen to in the long run, even though I understand that the more times you repeat something, the more people start to believe it, good psychology.
