As a former top-ranking executive of Siemens Hellas and an ex-manager of OTE Telecom prepared to face an investigating magistrate over their alleged involvement in the Siemens cash-for-contracts scandal, it emerged over the weekend that another former manager of the German firm's Greek subsidiary, and a key suspect in the probe, had transferred a significant amount of money to Uruguay and bought property in the South American country.
OTE Telecom's former deputy managing director Giorgos Skarpelis and former Siemens Hellas executive Ilias Georgiou, had been due to appear today before a magistrate to answer charges of bribery and money laundering. But sources told Skai yesterday that the two men might not appear after they lodged legal suits against magistrate Nikos Zagorianos following their arrests on Friday, accusing him of breach of duty.

I find it to make very little sense with the above post, first of it is about Siemens and their world wide know "kick back" to high ranking people in the public sector and secondly I don't see anything about Uruguay here??

It is about that someone tried to tell you that offshore companies don't provide the protection which many believe, this isn't true.... if the company formation is done well it will ptotect you and also provide 100% anonymity

However the degree of secrecy also varies from one offshore banking center to another.

That's true, during the years, we have seen a lot of companies popping up and disapear again, only a few stable companies are still in this marked, a good investigation of a Offshore company formation agency service should always be made. Also for safe and reliable banking even if it is anonymous, you will need to find one of the large banks, don't go with any "so called" bank which isn't licensed or just registered as financial company like you see it in New Zealand. this will only give you a lot of troubles.
