No-residency trick in jurisdictions that don't ask for "next residency"... FAKE NEWS?

In almost all jurisdictions when you cancel a residency, you have to indicate the next residency to government.
In order to ensure you always have a residency.

But see this:
- EU citizen from [COUNTRY A] goes to a specific jurisdiction [COUNTRY B] that doesn't have this rule (doesn't ask for next residency)
- Sends his gov a letter "cancel my residency I live in [COUNTRY B] now"
- Then sends a letter to [COUNTRY B] gov "cancel my residency, I won't live here anymore"
AND HERE apparently if [COUNTRY B] gov is not asking for next residency jurisdiction.
- Now you have NO residency.
- Cash out crypto with NO residency. 0% tax!
- Go back to original [COUNTRY A] and declare your assets: "Oh yeah, I have this. I was in [COUNTRY B] and was not resident of [COUNTRY A] when I acquired this."

Now the person has declared assets and cashed out with 0% tax.

What are the problems with this method?

The paper residency doesn't matter, what matters is the facto residency - where have you spent 183 days in that year
Many people here I bet have multiple paper residencies, to have everything 100% legit though they'd need declare each year in the jurisdiction with most time presence and or in the one with the economic vital ceneter of interest, possibly even in 2+ jurisdictions and then invoke double taxation treaties. If nothing it just complicates things
Frankly one could be hooked here by both country A and country B where you would need prove you really left back to A.

Maybe could work with the flag theory i.e. becoming a nomad for that year and spending 3-4 months max in a single country; but have no practical experience I am also not sure this legally makes you exempt from taxes on the cashout event...but maybe someone can confirm?
It definitely does not help legalize the origin of the assets- the SOW can be asked at any point later and needes be a hard proof where and how the asset was acquired, the experts are welcome to help 🙂
