New tax in Bulgaria?

In my previous post I mentioned it can raise red︃ flags. I don't just mean with the bank. You might not notice it when you're︄ there but BG is largely run by the mafia. They hold all the govt postitions,︅ are on the boards of the banks, etc...
When large sums of money start moving︆ around don't be surprised if you'll catch their attention.
By large sums , I mean︇ relative to BG so 200k+. Just something to keep in mind.

Personally, I like how︈ BG runs vs HU which last time I was there was a shithole especially the︉ Pest side. HU isn't at least openly corrupt. In BG a little bit of money︊ can change almost every situation.

Ok good to have your feedback. In HU (or SK)︂ you can pass much more than the amount you said, since years (and still until︃ now). Never any pb/trouble.

I know a bit BG but not too well. I am︄ not against to pay a bit (or more) to solve some situation. But please dont︅ compare Sofia and Budapest (at least for the Architecture, building, and development).. Sofia is faraway︆ behind.

Ofc i am not talking about mindset.. HU people are (very often) always sad︇ and bad mood. not really happy. But girls are quite good and open minded there︈ 😉

It's the people that make the city. Ultimately I go back to places with nice⁤ ppl. In BG everyone I met is nice, happy and open and they try to⁣ make an effort to help. Even if they are poor they smile and act pleasant⁢ besides for the gypsies there. EVERYTIME I went i had the same experiences there. That's︀ rare.

You can easily find hot, smart and pleasant girls there if that's what ur︁ looking for. They are extremely easy to talk to. I don;t care much for a︂ few buildings of architecture n Budapest that u can find in most european cities if︃ the people are garbage. They are cold, unwelcoming, angry , and always in a crappy︄ mood. They don't bother talking to you and don't care about trying to communicate in︅ english. It's so overrated for no reason. Overall I always had bad experiences there and︆ even cut my trip short bc I couldnt take the level of their rudeness. If︇ you want architecture go to Florence. I'll give you, that the girls I met in︈ HU were easy and chill.

Yes BP and Praha are well know to︆ be since a while the 2 European P**N capital.

Well, partially agree and not agree︇ with you.

- The 'angry' side is typically (and almost the same) in all 'visegrad'︈ countries (HU/CZ/PL/SK). Maybe the less angry in Prague if we compare with the others.
- Not agree for English, they speak usually more and better english than western / mediterranean︉ European countries (like better than In Italy, France, Spain or Greece), except ofc the 'basic'︊ employees people or low class (post office, cashier, some workers, construction etc, and countryside yes).︋
- Well, if you talk about architecture, you dont have lot of cities in Europe︌ beautiful as BP (and I am french and I really love Italy). Firenze is historically︍ beautiful yes but ONLY tourists there, make everything crappy and scam. I prefer Toscana region︎ and countryside, but not Firenze itself. really not authentic feeling there (at least my opinion).️
- I had the experience of living 'full' time in BP (10years ago), since a‌ while just 2/3 months max per year and it's the best way for me. Just‍ taking the good part, and you can optimize a lot there, and easy banking. Also⁠ was incredibility cheap real estate for an european capital 10years ago. Was almost same price⁤ as Sofia, and even cheaper than Bucarest, and once again you really cannot compare these⁣ capital. was really underrated at this time. Now real estate almost x3 since 2013 (depend⁢ the area), and inflation in Hungary is the WORST from far in EU. So less︀ interesting, at least from this side.

Are you permanently living in‍ Bulgaria? You also said its largely run by Mafia. How does that show and does⁠ it impact a normal online business?

Since 2006 im coming to Bulgaria and never had problems with the mafia, they rather‌ are busy with their own people then with foreigners. Also the one mafia boss I‍ met in this years was nicer than the average person in bg.

Sofia and Bulgaria⁠ in general is safer than most western cities.

It's a stable Bulgarian and it's part of the EU - so it's probably only‌ a matter of a very short time before everything becomes thoroughly regulated, and there's no‍ room for the Mafia either - on the other hand, I know very well that⁠ it thrives in Italy and many other Eastern European countries.

Maybe the EU doesn't intend⁤ to take on the Mafia at all, or maybe the EU is the Mafia -⁣ I don't know.

Read my previous posts, 500k gain are rookie numbers in this country.. even you‍ make 10 million gain no mafia will be busy with you.
