I have a close friend who's been living in Uruguay for the past 15 years. He’s originally from Europe but moved there to focus on building his investment business - primarily in crypto - and has done very well for himself. He’s now looking to relocate to either Switzerland or Cyprus, and he's ready to do things properly.

He has around $7 million in clean, fully taxed funds, with solid Source of Funds documentation for everything. Nothing shady, no hidden structures or grey zones. He just wants a well regulated place to live and run his business, without getting hammered by excessive tax or endless bureaucracy.

His company processes large crypto volumes, often several million USD per week, and he’s looking for a jurisdiction where he can continue operating with clarity, legal safety, and some level of tax efficiency.

He’s also prepared to buy real estate and pay for serious consultancy if needed, but he’s not looking to be taken advantage of or treated like an ATM just because he’s bringing money in.

If anyone has real experience or solid contacts in either country,

I’d be glad to connect him.

Please check your PM, I’ve sent you the contact details of the people I’ve been‌ working with in both locations.

What exactly does your friend need help with?
Could you be a bit more specific?‌

Without knowing all the details, I’d look into places like Monaco, Cyprus, and Malta, those‌ are usually the go-to options for people dealing with that kind of money.

We’ve had‍ similar threads here on OCT, and there’s a lot to consider: climate, social life, surroundings, and more.

You really need to be pretty specific about what you're looking for if⁤ you want a solid answer.
