My lawyer is an old friend; he betrayed me!

I am absolutely shocked to read this thread and see that your lawyer has deceived and betrayed you in this way. Unfortunately, this doesn't just happen in Denmark but everywhere. As @JohnnyDoe has said many times, a lawyer is NEVER your friend, and you cannot trust him, he only wants your money.

A bit like the prostitute who tells you she loves you as long as you keep giving her money.

Now that everyone is so shocked about this lawyer's illegal dealings, what do you think can be done about it, besides reporting him to the Ombudsman and the authorities already suggested here?

I'm wondering, would it be possible to make this public and ruin his reputation that way?

Would it hurt him if, say, 60,000 web pages were created discussing the case, so that whenever people googled his name, this would come up?

Or what would be the best legal way to take down a guy like this?

I have a budget to destroy this mans live!

Why waste your time, money and energy on revenge? What would you truly gain from it?

Forget and move on. But I can feel your feelings. You could rend the billboard across the street and have your warning there with a link to a website for details. If you can find any of his other clients, friends, partners, send them a letter what he has done.

But let me give you an advice, just move on, make money and forget about it. It will make you feel much better everyday and soon you will forget. It normally is not worth the effort.

I basically agree with you. But damn, this guy sat at my wedding, drank my expensive wine, and partied with me many times.

On top of that, I've paid him a total of around 280K euros in legal fees over the years.

I've gone through the case, and what he did is actually illegal, it can even be reported to the police for breaching confidentiality.

Does anyone have an idea of how to target a guy like this in a legal way? I'm not really thinking about a lawsuit, that won't get me far. I'm thinking more along the lines of negative SEO, AI-generated fake interviews, and whatever else the Russians use for their propaganda.

I would see it as a learning process.

OP absolutely needs to listen to @JohnnyDoe - this whole idea of "Fake Interviews" generated with AI is so beyond reckless - specially to a lawyer, that I don't know where to start. Plus it is not that easy to do AI generated videos (although audio is easy with ElevenLabs but videos will take so much resources and energy)...

And to do like "russian disinformation"... if you actually go look at examples of "russian disinformation" which was given during trump impeachment case it was a joke and a psyop on the masses... It is a bigger monster made out by media than reality. It is not possible to do such AI content easily despite what they want you to think.

I'll agree with you that it doesn't make much sense to spend a lot of time and money launching some campaign that, in the end, might just cause more trouble or not even lead to the desired outcome.

But that snitch had the audacity to message me the other day, acting like nothing happened, asking if everything was okay. I chose not to respond, but I was very tempted to remind him what people did to snitches during World War II and how I'd love to do the same to him.

But the wise move is to just hit the block button. You agree, right?

I can tell you that if a lawyer had screwed me over that badly, I wouldn't just let it slide. I'd make sure to start a campaign that he wouldn't forget for the rest of his career. There are plenty of ways to gather information that could be used against him or put pressure on him in ways he wouldn't expect. You can get good hackers and Cyber terrorists for almost nothing, starting at 10K and you are good.

If you need pointers on where to look for the right forums, feel free to PM me. Forget the Dark Web, it's full of scams unless you know exactly where to go.

Maybe it's best to let things go, but if you can find something that truly ruins his reputation or career, then you've won.
