Mozilla, Mullvad, Proton, sign letter opposing UK age verification

What does “protecting children” really mean when the UK government promotes online safety at home while backing military actions abroad that harm and kill children, in Russia, Gaza, Yemen, etc, and then prepares its own home teenagers for military service to go get injured or killed as soon as they turn 18? 🙄

Pretty sure this will never happen. It is all just PR imo. EU idiots can yell about 'protecting kids', and VPN companies can yell about how much they want to protect their users. There is simply no way that I can imagine how the NL and maybe DE will vote OK for this. And to have this be passed into law is pretty much impossible (also as most sites are not EU hosted)
