It’s not possible to have everything in life. We all have to give up something at a certain point - it’s simply a question of priorities. If cars are the most important part of your life (and there’s nothing wrong with that!), then you can choose the best option for owning and driving the cars you love in the country you prefer, being fully aware of the risks that come with it. It’s your choice. It’s just important to understand that the possibility of owning and driving expensive cars in Europe while enjoying a tax-efficient environment no longer exists.I like places like the dominican republic, it's just extremely far away from where all my interests, friends and family are. Thats why MC seems like a half decent place to have residency, just because of how flexibile travelling around Europe is.
As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, I know two people from different European countries who don’t know each other but both chose to become residents of Dubai for a very simple reason: they can have their laundry picked up at any moment of the day and returned clean and ready in no time. That’s their priority. We all have different ones. Can we judge them for that? Of course, not. Would I base my residence choice on laundry services efficency? Obviously, no!
What really matters is to be aware of the full context and the potential problems when you base your residence decision mainly on car-related considerations. And honestly, I don’t think you can get better or clearer insights on this topic than what has been shared in this thread!
