I am interested in getting a high risk merchant account in Latvia and was curious if anyone knew:

1. What are the incorporation requirements to get a Latvian Merchant account? Can I have a corporation in the EU, or do I actually need to incorporate in Latvia?

2. Of what I could find, Latvia is considered to be in the Visa Europe region. Is that correct?

3. Would I have to settle my funds in Latvia from my merchant account or could I settle my account in any country I wanted?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

I cannot speak for all Latvian banks, but the one i work with requires incorporation within any EU country along with an bank account also in Europe to settle the payments.

Hope it was helpful 🙂

Thank you! That helps a lot! Have you had good experiences with your Latvian bank? Would you mind sharing which one you are working with?

try to contact StreamPay, it is latvian IPSP and they make settlement around the world.

Why are you interested in a merchant account in Latvia?

What does your business sell?

You are a startup business, correct?

Yes, I'm also curious why you are a Canadian company who wishes to get their processing in Latvia. Can you explain it to me please?
