Hello. We have 3 accounts of stripe with a bit problems. One month ago they paused account (payouts and charges) for review and it's still on. So, totally balance on all accounts is about 300k USD, and we are loosing a lot each day, cause we have a recurring payment model (1 small payment, later bigger ones monthly). I would be happy to hear some cheats how to speed them up or make accounts safe.
What did we tried:
- Posting to twitter, reddit wasn't good. They replied, but as usual "Please wait, until review is complete"
- Asking for rising support level to the paid one, didn't brought any result. They just told that they will do, but nothing happened
- Every day calls and messages in live chat also wasn't useful
- Attempts to export payment data to PSP orchestrator like Basis Theory: Build the payments stack fit for your business still in progress and there are no big chances to save customers

I understand that chances are very low, but hope is still living in my mind🙂
If you are person who can help, it would be great to see positive feedbacks on this forum first

4 weeks is not long and your probably in the queue in their CRM. Stripe has millions of customers and best just to wait. That's the reason to use multiple payment processors.

P.S Why do you think if there is an insider they would want to help you? Your likely to only get a scammer saying "my cousin works for Stripe, just give me $500 and I will sort it."....lol

stripes customer service over email was once very good but recently it degraded to such an extent it makes my blood boil, either its run by a bad Ai or by utter morons who cant even use googletranslate to understand english.

I had to abandon interactions and figure the issue out myself. Support was complete and uttermost useless.

Good luck.

Are you confident you'll pass the review?

One month is a bit extreme though, how many times have they contacted you about the problems and what did you need to submit for the review? Did they not provide a time scale? I would send a formal email requesting an update and a concrete timeframe of when the review will be complete.

I put pretty good volume through Stripe without any real issues, and the few times I needed support, they were reasonable. I moved when the fees went up and they started sneaking in little charges. They used to refund fees on refunds, which was great. But maybe support has degraded.

Not sure, that we will pass it. But they have requested docs and we provided all requirement info. We have tried a lot of time to ask for any time frames, also asked for SLA, but they just told that they are doing best to finish review ASAP. I never imagined, that ASAP is about one month🙂 Almost day we are asking them by email for last two weeks, but no any clear details. Just common words that we should be patient and wait for review finish. They acting like a stealers. Also found a lot of similar cases in social. Many PSPs talking that stripe has easy onboarding, but later becomes really worst. Perhaps they talking it just for marketing, but after each day I'm starting to think that it's true. We have 8 stripe accs, and the rest 5 is not under review and contain not so much customer. Looks like when they see too big monthly volume on account, they just stopping it to avoid loosing control and fraud. Not sure, this is just my opinion.

The problem isn't really their support. Ever since Stripe teamed up with Capital One, their fraud detection has been pretty shaky. It's not their first rodeo, and even RADAR has some strange risk assessments. For instance, some emails have a 99% success rate and have been with Stripe for over five years, but payments still get blocked. There are a lot of factors at play here, including your business niche. So, if you want better advice, you should share a bit more about yourself and your business!
