Longevity of Cyprus non-resident companies

Is anyone aware of talks to get rid of Cyprus non-resident companies? I imagine the EU isn't so happy about this tax regime

What exactly do you mean by "get rid of" ?

You can just forget about‌ to renew the company and don't respond to the agent that setup the company for‍ you so it will be stroke off the registry sooner or later.

I mean does the Cyprus government plan to change their laws to make⁠ non resident companies pay tax . Same as Ireland did

Ireland had to change it because‌ of the irish double sandwich scheme, Cyprus doesn't have to. Just out of curiosity where‍ do you plan to managing the Cyprus company from?

Cyprus is actively searching for shell companies inside Cyprus and shutting them down (no residency‌ or substance in Cyprus). Every Cyprus company has to have at least a locally living‍ director and a Cyprus office.

If you mean with non resident the non-dom program this⁠ is only for private persons and not companies
