Cons are it's expensive as government makes its money via import duties as opposed to direct income tax. Also hurricanes and flooding means owning and insuring property can be very expensive. Your experience can be very different depending where you live also.
Pros are people are relaxed and its slow paced place. It is also just over an hour to Miami in case you want more excitement. There are also hundreds of island and islets that make up The Bahamas. You got choice of where to live if you have money.

Can't argue with much of what was said. The Bahamas is a very laid back third world island nation. Everyone is chilled out so don't expect a fast response to anything as their is no rat race here...lol. People come to chill out from all of that coo-:!y.
If you come to Bahamas expecting major hustle bustle city life you got the wrong place. If you come expecting when you arrange a plumber to be there at 1pm and he comes to 5pm you got the wrong place.
