I have heard several from India and Pakistan which opened companies in the UK, I never thought of that this should be considered as an Offshore Country / Tax haven ?

"offshore" means

The term offshore in the context of investments would refer to putting money into a venture outside of your home country to take advantage of benefits offered by the host country. Look up an article on Investopedia titled The Pros and Cons of Offshore Investing. It's a very good resource.

nice explanation. Maybe we can update this in 2018 and let's discuss if the UK is a offshore paradise for all of us now they on the way out of the EU?
