Is litecoin less volatile as Bitcoin ?

I have looked over the last 6 months and to me it looks like LiteCoin is less volatile compared to Bitcoin ?

Is that true? I want to use LTC as an alternative to the stablecoins ?

I also suggest that you consider Kurtosis when comparing financial instruments. Btc's Kurtosis is about half that of ltc's, this meaning less extreme movements and more predictability.

Ps it is incorrect to generalize by saying that lower Kurtosis means better returns. At the contrary, long tails represent an opportunity if one can handle them.
