What are you missing with a Panama PayPal account? just wondering. Have made one personal account there and it looks to be the same as my UK account. Honestly I have not used it that much so maybe I have missed something.

You don't connect it to a bank account but use a real account to transfer‌ the money to or you spend the money online, use an exchange service or similar!‍ that's how it typical is done.
