Hello

I have some ideas for avoid CRS/AEIO for EU resident but i dont know if ideas is good or not..

I can see some country dont sign for CRS, for eg, Algeria not share informations...

If i go to Algeria, i rent appartment for 6 month, i wait utility bill and i open Bank in EU with my EU passeport and Algerian utility bill, bank share informations with Algeria not france ?

My real residency is not in Algeria but i think bank trust Algeria is my residency with utility bill, but if bank ask me my Tax ID this idea dont work....

If its work its so good for me.

Sorry for my bad english

Hi, you tax residency is where you spend more than half time per︁ year. Just having utifily bill unfortunately won't work.

Yes but bank can't know if i stay more than half time per year in‌ Algeria, if i said to the bank Algeria is my tax residency i think they‍ trust me... Not ? Except if bank ask me my Tax ID, but some bank dont ask tax ID, like Revolut

Your bank may end up reporting to your country of citizenship anyway, unless you can‌ prove that you have residence permit (visa) for Algeria and proof of tax registration.

Revolut is currently operating as an EMI. They are not a bank. Once they switch to‍ being a bank, they will start asking for tax IDs.

Read what I wrote‌ again.

Everything they are currently doing is under an EMI license. They aren't actually operating‍ under their banking license yet.

To add on that, Lithuanian government is very strongly debating if issuing a licence for them‍ was a good thing. They are afraid that it can bring a big loss for citizens in case it goes down. So I wouldn't be sure they will start operating⁤ on this license very soon.
