I want to open stock broker/ bank account in Japan as non resident.
Anybody Try to open bank account or stock broker account in Japan as non resident .Which firm are good for this ?
Is it possible to open remotely ?
What are the requirement ?
Which bank/broker allowed this ?

Well, for insiders there are other rules of course.
But if one asks this question, he/she or shim is not part of the club and hence its impossible to do it properly.

For your average joe, get a trusted friend who lives there with proper papers. The easy and common way with the known (huge) downside risk.

You have to be a resident to have a personal bank account in Japan. I studied there and for the first few years, the big banks wouldn't accept my request to open an account either.
