How to get rid off a Seychelles IBC if not needed?

Is it the same for all offshore companies including Cyprus company?

No a Cyprus company will require you to do a planned strike off, there will be some fee involved, otherwise the company will be in good standing and the CSP change the office address including owner to yourself so beneficial owner are exploit.
