How to choose resilient domain name registrar?

Dear entrepreneurs,

Please help me find a solution to the following.

I want to build a resilient website and forum - meaning, it must be hardened against (copyright) takedown notices/procedures.
AFAIK, the server location is important. And I will run several backup servers as fail-over.

About domain name registry though... Are they known to be taken away or otherwise compromised by authorities?

Is there anything in particular I should do to ensure that my domain name remains in my full possession and control?

I doubt anyone will go after your domain unless you're into very illegal stuff. DNS (name servers) is probably the biggest problem - I'd start with Cloudflare but definitely find a backup in case they take your account down 😉
