Hiding source of income

I need to hide my source of income in case of a potential audit. I was thinking to make some invoices to a company matching the amounts, would this work? Anyone has experience in this?

That could actually work. You want to make use of a UK company or Cyprus company for this to look real.

Okay, how come it has to be either of these countries?
Which potential outcomes can this result in? and what could i write on an invoice?

Just make it a EU company so it looks legit.. don't do it with a Belize, St. Kitts or other company!

You could setup a anonymous company with darks! You want to use real darks in order to be able to setup banking or EMI for your company!

UK/Cyprus Company,your own company to invoice?
I'm interested in a possible solution to this one as well, and I'm sorry for tagging along to the OP's post but this is an interesting one to me too.
