Hi,

If a person from lets say Sweden would like to open a bankaccount in another country, would it be best to choose a country with dtc agreements with uncertain eoi, or a country with eoi on request?

Sweden - Exchange of Information and tax enforcement
Grey = dtc with uncertain eoi
Yellow = eoi on request

Countries with no eoi would be best but if thats not possible?

Thanks for help

Open with a CRS country. Non-CRS countries including US will ultimately be blacklisted by EU so wire transfers will become a pain. DTC countries is pointless as banks don't pay no real interest to make it worthwhile 😀.

Countries with no AEOI apart from US tend not to be the best place to put your money. Hopefully like most people you will not end up losing your marbles and going to bankrupt Puerto Rico and the opaque Euro Pacific Bank to solve AEOI 😕.

There are other none AEOI countries but only for those who don't take their money seriously 😀.
