I did a quick search on the Hawala money system and got the following information. It is outright illegal and is used in many instances to finance terrorism, drug sales, and human trafficking - in fact, that's the primary purpose of its existence. Just asking about such a thing in a public forum, I think, is foolish, and I must strongly distance myself from it.
The hawala money transfer system is an informal method of transferring funds from one location to another through a network of brokers (hawaladars) without the actual movement of money. Originating in South Asia and the Middle East, it is based︀ on trust and the extensive use of connections such as family relationships or regional affiliations.︁
Transactions are facilitated by the hawaladars, who receive money from a sender in one location︂ and instruct an associate in another location to pay the equivalent amount to the recipient.︃ This system is fast, cost-effective, and relies on a simple honor system to ensure obligations︄ are met. Although widely used for legitimate purposes, its lack of formal documentation and regulatory︅ oversight also makes it susceptible to use for money laundering and other illicit activities.
