I almost got scammed with SFM and a likes, so i am at the point where i put security very high on the list of priorities 🙂
Well, I wanted a number of services and wanted to try a different agent to the one I was using so far. Everything was looking OK, normal site, fairly fast response, normal prices, ... Then I ordered services and while waiting for the Invoice, and being impatient to get it as soon as possible, I called one of the listed numbers, and then the other, and the third, ... Only then I inspected their site more carefully, and what seemed to be technical glitches draw my attention. Finally, and before anyone got back to me from them, I found a post here with almost exactly︀ the same story and pulled out last minute!
I wrote them a very direct letter, no one really replied, they just went silent. A day after I got a response from their technical service thanking me for the bug I noticed 🙂
Simple Belize Company, with nominee shareholder and director, and bank introduction (which i basically did not need, since I am a banker myself). The guaranteed delivery time was 2 (two) days. However, on the second day I got conformation that compliance check is OK(!?). And that things are in progress. I informed them that i expect the Company to be ready as promised and paid for, but i started to get excuses "we are almost there, just about, few more hours, etc."
The thing is, their refund policy states that any claim for a refund must be made in 3 calendar days from the order, afterwards, it's a dead end. And my guess is that is what they were trying to do, take another day on a sweet talk of understanding "give us a bit more time, etc.". The good thing is that i paid with my VISA, so i can always resort to a charge-back 🙂
One of the points I'm trying to make also is that they are linked to www.oneibc.com, which should be reputable company, yet, this happened. I am yet to see how refund works, hopefully OK, if not, I'll have to resort to other means with VISA.
Well, not necessarily, if the agent has presence there, it can be in a day, OCRA offers it in a day, and they are quite reputable. The total amount was EUR 2,610 (converted from USD).
