A free residence permit is up for grabs.
No language requirements this time.

Im going to copy here some of the benefits to serve as a reminder:

  1. Freedom to live and work anywhere in Russia.
  2. Access to free education: From primary school to PhDs, the Russian education system is both free and highly respected.
  3. Top-tier healthcare: Russia's healthcare system is not only free but is known for its high quality.
  4. An open door to citizenship: After five years of legal residency, you're eligible to apply for Russian citizenship. It was discussed in another thread on this forum
  5. Once you get a Russian residence permit, you don't have to get new visas repeatedly. No more visa runs abroad
  6. For those Americans who don't like transsexual kindergarten teachers, there are special villages to raise your kids following the traditional values Russia to Build ”˜Migrant Village' for Conservative American Expats - The Moscow Times

well that's not too bad.
Good to have more options.

I hope more countries will‌ take a deep look and this and offer better/similar offers.

not now‍ (have no need to plus some commitments and one needs to learn the language to be able to do something), but who knows whats the future brings, id be open.⁤
But for now, its neutral territory for me.

Having travelled around Russia, you will still need to learn the language, even as a‌ tourist, and definitely if you want to move there.

On the other hand, it's a‍ beautiful language and spoken by 200+ million, so it can be a good investment.

You are generally expected to stay‌ 6 months in the country.
In practical life, however, such requirement is hardly enforced.

Interesting alternative once they start introducing digital IDs and then mandatory vaccine shots in Western‌ countries.

Many people do not realize how advanced some areas‍ in Russia are. For example, you can validate payments by scanning your eye.

It's always good to have extra options, just in case, anyway.

All nation states have similar mechanisms for registering people‍ and further clasify them as citizens, residents, migrants etc. Russian Federation as well

and surveil them

There is no difference between PR China, Russian Federation, EU, UK, US of America etc. when it comes to that matter.

The current primer is EU's EES⁤ as precondition for ETIAS which is a copy of USG ESTA - and other systems⁣ in place accross the world

https://travel-europe.europa.eu/ees_en

Russia is developed as other countries from Global North and PR China are. No particular difference.︁

I hardly doubt there are any. As someone already mentioned above it's a shithole rof/%

I would if I wasn't restricted by other life plans I Currently have. I got a‌ friend that is gonna apply though
