Seems they are to complicated to get a bank account opened with. I read they‌ required something like USD 50,000 for personal and USD 250,000 for corporate accounts!! Who want‍ to give a new bank in the Seychelles so much money!

It's an deposit not a fee! That said it's all about trust and if you‌ want to put such amounts into 1 bank. In the past where this wasn't a‍ requirement we had a lot of people open accounts with them and most have been happy with it and even today holds accounts there.

But you can't use the deposit for the life time of the bank account I‌ guess?

True, a business partner of mine opened an account with Barclays‍ in the Seychelles for a few years ago. He was asked to make the intiial deposit of the USD 50,000 and can't used it for the life time of the⁤ account..sucks pretty much he say.

Are Barcleys bank the only one in Seychelles or do they have other banks there?‌

Hello Alain,

In Seychelles we have Barclays Seychelles, MCB (Seychelles), Nouvobanq, Bank of Baroda, BMI‌ Bank, and Habib Bank.

Oh..I didn't know Nouvobanq and Bank of Baroda,‍ are they branches? do you know if they require personal visit?

and I found a commercial‌ from Nouvobanq in the Seychelles, they seems to be a small bank.

Maybe they are easy to apply with and have less requriements compared to Barclays and others‍ there.

We're getting off topic:doh: Why do you want to deposit 25K into a bank in‌ the Seychelles?? I grant that I was considering it but never proceeded.

It's not a bank for regular business, they want investments with big sums, they don't‌ touch all the small businesses who come with their hard earned money in small figures.‍ For aprox 5 years ago it was different, they took all what they could and later on they kicked them out.

That's one peace of s**t bank, they kicked us out after 7 years to be‌ a honest customer just because we didn't increased out min balance to $5000! Never open‍ an account with them guys be warned.
