Hi all,

when choosing which company to choose for setting up my offshore business, what do you generally look out for. How do I know whether they are legitimate?
E.g. if they claim to have a business in London I would check whether the company is listed in the UK companies house here Get information about a company

and of course I will try to find unbiased reviews.
Do you have any other general steps that you take as precaution to test whether they are a scam or simply unreliable?
Based on which factors do you choose the company that you hire/appoint to setup your offshore company.

Cheers

Most often I'm looking for reviews on Google, then I look at how professional they‌ answer to my e-mails, if they answer at all and finally I look if I‍ can find forums, social media or other places where a rep of the company in question may be active.

People on here would be able to help you. You can also try the established‌ companies like TurnerLittle, Ocra etc.

Ok, I will be testing the following by sending a quote and will report back‌ to you. Any others that you want me to include in this comparison?

GWS
MITCO
OCRA
Turner Little

Review will be based on:
Professionalism:
Quality of work
quality of customer‍ service
Legitimacy
Speed:
Responsiveness to queries and questions
Overall speed from quote to finalized company
Price:
Company formation
Bank account setup
Transparency

Forget about price it is about the quality of service. You can find a lot‌ of cheap services around but most often you end up with something you don't want!‍

Agreed! But I will still mention the price especially in relation to the supplied quality and whether prices are transparent.

so you found this ultra‍ cheap formation agent and where did you setup your company?
