I'm in the process of arranging the renewal directly with IFZA.⁤ I actually fly out to Dubai later on this afternoon.

When I first spoke with⁣ them, they quoted me without the "Free Visa For Life" promotion, when I questioned it,⁢ they re-amended the invoice to include this.

Failing that, give IFZA a call directly and︀ just ask them for amended invoice because you have free visa for life.

Sorry, but they misled you. You don’t need insurance for︄ yourself or for ID or visa renewal in Dubai. It’s only required by a few︅ free zones, such as DMCC. It’s not required for IFZA or most other free zones︆ in Dubai. Someone likely oversold you the medical insurance.

Thanks for the feedback - I'm sure this really helps others.

They try their luck -⁣ all them time - really sad to see this from a 500+ People institution.

We will prepare a Newsletter and address to all former DLS Dubai Clients so everyone is⁢ aware of this fact.

Sorry @Fred, i⁤ mean’t free visa renewal. They have quoted me an amount for this. I am waiting⁣ for their reply again based on your comments and other customer mentioned here. Can you⁢ confirm what exactly free visa renewal means? Does it mean, pro taking you to the︀ medical check, visa renewal, UAE ID renewal. Anything else? Thanks

My comment was not about your exact scenario but about︀ the wording you used. I dont like when businesses tell customers they should be thankful︁ for anything, its manipulative because it appeals to emotion of guilt. You cant force people︂ to be thankful for something, it only irritates them more

Gratitude comes from within and︃ can't be forced

Thank you for this. Can⁤ you please clarify what free visa for life includes and not includes. Does it include⁣ someone taking you ro medical check, visa renewal and UAE renewal, etc… many thanks!

I'm sure @Fred will comment here but I think you are⁣ misunderstanding...

"Free Visa For Life" is that the visa its self is free of charge,⁢ i.e. IFZA do not charge you for the Visa. Without the "Free Visa for Life"︀ promotion that was run, it is around 3,750 AED for the visa renewal/4,000 AED for︁ visa renewal with salary amendment.

This doesn't include the cost of the medical or Emirates︂ ID renewal or medical services.

As Fred mentioned before, picking you up/taking you around Dubai︃ for the Medicals/UAE ID etc is covered under PRO services and as such, Fred is︄ no longer offering this. You can do this directly yourself or directly with IFZA, but︅ you need to ask them for PRO services quotation (It is between 3,500 AED to︆ 4,400 AED depending which option you take from them).

From my understanding, Fred's former business,︇ DLS Dubai, is no longer in operation and as such, he has no commercial relationship︈ with IFZA and therefore isn't able to provide PRO services (plus he wouldn't benefit financially︉ from doing so as renewals are now no longer possible through him)

Ok, i just received a reply from them:

You have visa free for trade license‌ offer, means AED 3750 will be voided from your visa application. However, any changes (salary‍ or designation, etc) have to be paid. And assistance with medical and EID renewal is NOT included in the promo. Visa renewal time frame 3-5 working days.

Thanks for︅ this. It has also been clarified by IFZA. Please understand many of us have never︆ renewed the Visa so all of this is new for us. Thanks to everyone for︇ the clarity! ❤️

Residence Visa Free for Lifetime means that DLS Dubai pays for⁣ your Residence Visa Renewal every 2 Years as long as you keep your IFZA Trade⁢ License Active - this was agreed and discussed with IFZA - as they did cut︀ us off - technically and financially - it should be a no brainer for them︁ to give everyone the Residence Visa Free for Lifetime Promotion who is eligible for it︂ especially after the did cut off DLS Dubai.

Sure - will do and double check - gonna post the Newsletter︅ here as well once sent.

@uk29 thanks for your help here in this matter - for me it's hard to get︈ insides with IFZA nowadays.

I just spoke with IFZA CFO and he apologized and makes︉ sure that clients get the right quotation from spot.

@Roperfugal I'm happy that all turns︊ out positive for you and wish you further success with your FZCO Setup DLS Dubai︋ did provide to you.

@Fred - no I paid for my visa - they said for it to be‌ free I needed an office space.

I couldn't be bothered arguing with them and needed‍ to renew urgently so paid lol

Terrible - will handle this matter and speak to them to make sure you get a refund.

I understand⁤ that you run Business Operations on a scale you don't have time to bother with⁣ something like this - still I want to make sure no one gets ripped off.⁢

I keep you posted - report back here once they contact you to issue a︀ credit note or refund for what have been paid.

It's not an IFZA thing but⁤ a government thing - at visa renewal time ALL private sector companies MUST provide insurance⁣ for the employee renewing a visa. If you're on a work visa provided by your⁢ company, then you 100% fall into this law - your company has to provide at︀ least basic medical insurance for you. If you are the only employee of a one-person︁ IFZA FZCO it still applies.

As for being oversold, I don't think 1000aed︂ is expensive...

Do you know why IFZA isn’t providing this information? They have provided me with⁢ a quote including visit to medical check, visa, establishment card, emirates ID, but no mention︀ of health insurance. Should I mention this to them?

About the insurance:

When you have any Credit Card with Travel Insurance like Revolut, American Express etc.⁤ just get the Insurance Confirmation usually via App and provide it - that's enough they⁣ will accept.

Alternatively you can look at Takaful they provide usually cheapest Insurance available in⁢ the market.

Who asked for the health insurance? I'm out in Dubai︄ at the moment and in the middle of renewing.

The only reason I ask is,︅ I have done the Medical, Residency Issued by IFZA but my Emirates ID application just︆ shows "Approved" but hasn't yet printed.

Just trying to work out if this is due︇ to health insurance OR because it was only approved at 10AM local time yesterday and︈ I just need to be more patient.

IFZA is asking for it to get the⁢ Residence Visa approved - if you have used the PRO Service or some kind of︀ VIP Service from them then check if they include the Health Insurance as IFZA has︁ their own Life Insurance Brand might be possible they just issue it straightaway in the︂ backend.

IFZA is super slow issuing Residence Visa unless you pay extra for it -︃ we get for our USDT to AED WPS Salary Service Offering Mainland Residence Visa's issued︄ same day.

Double Check with IFZA if they submitted something in the backend for you︅ already and report back here what was the issue and if any issue at all︆ or they are just slow in processing Residence Visa Approval.

Your described point was the︇ main issue we had back then already with DLS Dubai we had to bag them︈ to get same day Visa Approval while this is nowadays Industry Standard especially for Residence︉ Visa Renewals.

I have just spoken with IFZA.

They said all is fine.

The Visa was approved‌ already yesterday. I just have to wait for the Emirates ID to be printed which‍ should be done today/tomorrow.

They also said health insurance wasn't required for the renewal and they haven't set any up.

That's very good first hand⁤ real person experience, very valuable for readers of this thread.
