hello,
I have my company registered in Malta. I sell a digital product to European customers outside of Malta.

Is there a way to avoid paying VAT? My accountent told my that I have to register for OSS.

thanks!

If you are below the threshold you don't need to register, but once you reach it there is no way to avoid it unless you want to risk going to jail.

You may setup an entity where it isn't required to keep the company for long time.

I checked the process for registering for VAT in one of the EU countries... ho boy. They even ask for the iban of the company, the name and contact of the registrant (me)...

Being a 'light' uae resident (= no utility bill) + freezone. I'm a bit reluctant to give all that info for privacy reason.

What setup should I use to not declare my name or my uae company in this vat database?
