Depositing to Swissquote

I recently opened a trading account with Swissquote, I was wondering if I can deposit money into my account from an account that's not in my name.

It's hard for me to send money from my country to Swissquote, so my plan is to convert my money into a cryptocurrency, and then withdraw it to my Swissquote account from somewhere like Binance.

I would appreciate any ideas 🙂

Investors Europe accepts deposits from a Transferwise account in your name. I doubt Swissquote does.‌ That's the best you can hope for.

I see, does anyone know if Swissquote accepts transfers from TransferWise? I could possibly go‌ for that option as well I think.

If not, my only option would be to‍ do a SWIFT transfer with high fees :/

I have sent money from my TW account to my SQ account without problems.

You just clicked the button where it‍ says "Fund my account", chose Bank Wire and then sent the money from TW to⁠ that IBAN right? And which currency?

I sent it from TW using the SQ IBAN in EUR. I didnt use the‌ Fund my account option

It’s been discussed here several times before that this should work with SwissQuote if you‌ don’t overdo it. But I haven’t tried it myself.

Don’t use it as your regular payment account, with customers paying into it.

Oh, I'm only planning to carry my savings over, so it's just‍ going to be 1-2 transactions in total, and maybe 1 transaction every 1-2 months or⁠ so (with TW)

Shouldn't be a problem right?

I don’t have any experience with that, but from what others have written here, it‌ should be fine. Probably. Of course every case is different, so please don’t blame me‍ if it goes wrong. 😉

Some conflicting information.⁠ Maybe you should just give it a try with a lower amount first? And please⁤ report back of course.

Somebody also wrote you might be able to deposit to Swissquote⁣ in crypto.

I transferred 20 EUR with TW.

Started the transfer around 12PM and went to sleep,‌ and the money was there when I woke up.

Even though SQ website says 2-3‍ days for transfer, the money got there in less than 6 hours.

Looks like it⁠ works perfectly 🙂 Hopefully with higher amounts as well.

You can transfer big amounts(6 figure) without any issue. You will receive your payment at‌ the sameday or next business day.
