Hi,

I'm considering to buy my own dedicated server with some host, not sure which host it will be by now, but I will need to know what is the best operating system / OS for this, I want to use a Unix compatible operating system.

RedHat Linux

Linux CentOS

FreeBSD

If you have any other suggestions I would appreciate it, thank you.

Out of my experience the best Linux distribution is CentOS next to Debian, you should‌ also consider which control panel you will need if any.

CentOS is the best I know of, don't use any cpanel or other insecure software...‌

As Dedicated server then Windows operating system is best because they are easy to operate,‌ no complexity. These easy to use Windows-specific. How do I help him get special discounts.‍ In fact, he wants the best Windows-specific, can be the best dedicated hosting company, providing complete satisfaction and brand one of the means is the server administrator and do not⁤ do anything but wait and see.

Best expirience with Linux but Windows 2008 RS2 servers work well too. Theplanet is now‌ softlayer.com they used to be one of the best and cheapest hosting providers in the‍ US.
