We will squarely address the resolution of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. We French can never accept the invasion of one’s neighbor!

We refuse to allow discussions on peace in Ukraine to take place without representatives of Europe’s nations. We do not accept that the demand for mutual security guarantees has been abandoned, not only between Ukraine and Russia, but between all of Europe’s nations, including our own, and Russia.

We do not accept the prospect of peace involving territorial concessions in Ukraine without asking the populations concerned whether they agree to find themselves on this side of the border or the other.

It is up to the people to decide for themselves what they want.
