Israel Elections 2026: Who Is Allied With Whom?
Israel's major political parties are divided into two broad camps: those supporting Benjamin Netanyahu and those seeking to replace him. Several other parties are running independently.
Importantly, some politicians are running on the same electoral list, while others have only agreed to cooperate after the election.

Netanyahu's Camp — right-wing and religious parties
Benjamin Netanyahu - Likud - Allied with Smotrich, Ben-Gvir and religious parties.
Gideon Sa'ar - New Hope party - Running on Netanyahu's Likud list.
Bezalel Smotrich - Religious Zionism party - Running jointly with Moshe Feiglin; supports Netanyahu.
Moshe Feiglin - Zehut party - Allied with Smotrich on the same electoral list.
Itamar Ben-Gvir - Otzma Yehudit party - Netanyahu's governing ally, but running independently.
Aryeh Deri Shas - Longstanding Netanyahu ally; cooperating with United Torah Judaism party
Yaakov Asher - United Torah Judaism party - Traditionally aligned with Netanyahu, but the party has also expressed openness to an Eisenkot-led government.
These are the principal parties associated with Netanyahu's outgoing governing bloc, although relations between them have not always been stable.

Opposition Alliance — parties seeking to replace Netanyahu
On September 26, five opposition leaders signed an agreement to coordinate their campaigns and cooperate in forming a new government.
Gadi Eisenkot - Yashar party - Cooperating with Bennett, Lapid, Liberman and Golan.
Naftali Bennett - Together (B'Yachad) party - Running on a joint electoral list with Yair Lapid.
Yair Lapid - Yesh Atid party - Merged his electoral list with Bennett's party.
Avigdor Liberman - Yisrael Beiteinu party - Allied politically with the opposition group; running separately.
Yair Golan - The Democrats party - Leads the alliance combining Labor and Meretz; cooperating with the other opposition leaders.
This alliance includes politicians from different ideological backgrounds. Bennett and Liberman represent right-wing positions, Eisenkot is broadly centrist, and Golan represents the left. Their common objective is replacing Netanyahu, but they have not agreed on a single candidate for prime minister.

Other Parties and Politicians
Ofer Winter - Amcha Yisrael party - Running with Yoseph Haddad. Supports right-wing policies but has not ruled out a broad coalition involving Netanyahu and Eisenkot.
Yoaz Hendel - The Reservists party - Running jointly with economist Yaron Zelekha. Open to a broad Zionist government, including one involving Netanyahu.
Sharren Haskel - Israel First - Running separately; open to cooperation across the two main camps.
Mansour Abbas - Ra'am party - Running separately from the Joint List.
Yosef Jabareen and Ahmad Tibi - Joint List Hadash, Ta'al and Balad are running together.
The two Arab-led lists are not signatories to the main opposition parties' September cooperation agreement. Their potential role in forming a government remains contested among opposition leaders.
Benny Gantz: He withdrew Blue and White from the election contest on October 19, 2026. His party's ballot slip remains on the ballot despite the withdrawal.
What matters after today's vote
The central question is which politicians can agree to form a governing coalition of at least 61 of the Knesset's 120 seats. Neither of the two main political camps has a guaranteed majority, and the positions of smaller parties could affect coalition negotiations.
