🇵🇭❌🇨🇳 — On September 28, the Philippine Coast Guard accused the Chinese research vessel "Jiahai Ke 7" of suspected falsification of positioning and concealment of its whereabouts.

📝 Records released by the Philippine side show that the vessel's positioning signal indicated departure from Xiamen in the early hours of September 21, and it appeared near Papua New Guinea more than 2,000 nautical miles away that same night, with only about 19 hours elapsed.

The Philippine side stated that on the morning of September 28, a patrol aircraft discovered the vessel approximately 38 nautical miles northwest of Itbayat Island in the Philippine Batanes Islands, and multiple radio hails received no response.

The Philippine side believes that the vessel's activity pattern of lingering in the same area matches the characteristics of marine surveys, and suspects it of conducting unauthorized scientific research activities.

According to previous public introductions by the China Classification Society and the Newhuai District Government, the "Jiahai Ke 7" is a private research vessel built with investment from a Zhuhai enterprise, approximately 70 meters long, equipped with a dynamic positioning system, and capable of engineering drilling and static sounding operations in water depths of up to 150 meters.

🇸🇩❌🇪🇹 — The Sudanese Military Regime and the Ethiopian Federal Government are accusing each other of meddling in their internal affairs.

🇸🇩 Tensions began to escalate after Ethiopia served as a logistics platform between the UAE and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which are fighting the Sudanese army. Ethiopian territory has also served as a rear base for certain operations carried out against Sudanese forces. With a presence in Ethiopia of a camp intended to train RSF fighters.

RN increased its seats in the French Senate from 3 to 15 yesterday.

The French Senate holds indirect elections every 3 years, each time electing half of the Senate or 174 seats. Senators are not elected by ordinary French citizens however instead by elected local officials

RN first entered the Senate in 2014 with 2 seats and in 2023 it won 3 seats.

RN rival, France Unbowed of Jean-Luc Mélenchon won its first seat ever in the French Senate in the same election.

#NEWS | 🇩🇪 🇹🇷 — Wüst meets Erdoğan in Ankara, Türkiye

North Rhine-Westphalia Minister-President Hendrik Wüst is visiting Türkiye for three days, with talks focused on German-Turkish relations and economic cooperation.

Wüst has called for a long-overdue modernization of the EU–Türkiye Customs Union, arguing that closer economic ties could create significant opportunities.

His meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara was not originally prominent on his schedule and is notable given that German state premiers do not normally meet the Turkish president.

The CDU politician has also recently been mentioned in discussions about a possible future succession to Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Wüst himself has rejected such speculation and said he wants to remain Minister-President of North Rhine-Westphalia.

As long as President Trump is president, we're NEVER going to allow Cuba to become a base of operation against American interests or pose a threat to our national security. On that we're abundantly clear.

Cuba's already fallen. It doesn't have a functional economy and it's governed by people who continue to preach about some revolution that has been dead for 20 years. It's never worked.

And that's the problem they have. The problem that Cuba has basically right now is it is a failed state in every sense of the word.
