🇧🇷⚡️🤝🇸🇻 — Senator and Liberal Party (PL) presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro met with El Salvador's Minister of Justice and Public Security, Gustavo Villatoro. The meeting took place at a hotel in the capital of the Brazilian state of São Paulo.
“El Salvador's experience, under the leadership of President Nayib Bukele, shows that it is possible to confront organized crime firmly and give people back a basic right: to leave home, walk the streets, and return safely. In my government, the priority will be to protect victims and law-abiding citizens, not to coddle criminals, as the current government does.

💬 Speaking to the press, Flávio advocated for tougher criminal legislation and criticized President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's (PT) government for its lack of action against crime.
“A very productive meeting with El Salvador's Minister of Justice, Gustavo Villatoro, who was responsible, together with President [Nayib] Bukele, for implementing one of the greatest and most effective efforts to restore sovereignty and return public security to their people. (…) As outlined in our government plan, our approach will be to toughen criminal legislation and build prison capacity so that the population can have their first and most sovereign right, which is the right to come and go freely. (…) It was a meeting that greatly inspires us to implement a very effective and firm plan to defend citizens, to defend victims, and not criminals, as the current government does.”
