➡️ The blast occurred around an auxiliary section of the pyrolysis unit.

📝 The exact cause is still under investigation, although Russian media say containers of methanol may have exploded.

➡️ It came as the U.S. struggles to end Russia’s intervention of Ukraine and the Iran war, although the reason for the visit wasn’t immediately clear.

❗️ The U.S. has collected intelligence showing Russia’s early preparations for a possible military mobilization in Ukraine and plans for testing the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s resolve, The Wall Street Journal has reported.

➡️ The Financial Times reported that the Trump administration had asked Kyiv to pause its long-range strikes on major Russian cities during the course of the visit.

In Statement, the SOUTHCOM said:
On August 25, under Gen. Donovan’s direction, Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere executed a lethal kinetic strike on a go-fast vessel operating along established narco-trafficking routes in the Caribbean.

Confirmed intelligence revealed the vessel's active involvement in narco-trafficking. The operation killed four narco-terrorists.
