#NEWS | 🇮🇱 🇵🇸 — Gaza reconstruction estimated at $71bn — seven times previous wars combined

Rebuilding Gaza after the 2023–2025 war will cost an estimated $71.4 billion, roughly seven times the combined real-term cost of reconstruction following the 2008, 2014 and 2021 conflicts, according to a new Oxfam-backed report.

The figure is based on the World Bank, UN and EU Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment. Nearly nine months into the ceasefire that began in October 2025, large-scale reconstruction has yet to start.
