🇾🇪❌🇾🇪🇾🇪 — On October 13th, 2026, Aidaros al-Zubaidi, President of the UAE-sponsored Southern Transitional Council (STC), made his first public speech in nine months following the collapse of the STC rule over Southern Yemen

🎙 The speech marked the 63rd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, known in the West as the Aden Emergency when the Federation of South Arabia and the Protectorate of South Arabia were overthrown by the Egyptian-backed FLOSY & NFLs groups.

🇾🇪 During the speech, the STC Leader called for "popular mobilization” against the Houthis and in defense of the autonomy/independence of the Southern Yemen to fight against the Shiite militia group

🤝 He additionally condemned the group’s recent attacks on Saudi Arabia, and called on the kingdom to support the STC's call for self-determination in January.

“We declare the general popular mobilization to defend the south and its national liberation project, and to continue the national defense battle against the Houthi militias and their Iranian expansionist project, and all extremist groups, targeting our people, its political entity and its armed forces throughout the Arab territories of the Arab Republic on the borders before May 22, 1990,” he said, referring to South Yemen, which was independent from 1967 to 1990.
