🇨🇳🇨🇳🇹🇼❌🇨🇳 — On this day, 115 Years ago, the Wuchang Uprising against the Manchu-led Qing Dynasty began, triggering what eventually would become the 1911 Xinhai Revolution, which not only toppled the ruling Manchu House of Aisingioro, but would permanently end the Imperial system rule over China
🇹🇼 Led by the Tongmenghui under Sun Yat Sen, the Revolutionaries expelled the Manchu rule, seen by them as foreign, and re-established Han rule over all of China, at the cost of Mongolia and Tibet becoming independent in the process, establishing in the process the Republic of China, which lasts until today in the Island of Taiwan
📝 Such thing, however, would lead to a wave of historical events that outlast both the Tongmenghui and Sun Yat Sen, as the Northern Expedition against the Beiyang government, the Warlord Era, the Nanjing Decade, the Start of the Chinese Civil War and ultimately, the Communist takeover and subsequent occupation of the Mainland China
🇺🇸 It should be noted that Dr. Sun Yat-sen was deeply inspired by American history, political philosophy, and figures like Abraham Lincoln and Alexander Hamilton, making the Three Principles of the People (Nationalism, Democracy, and the People's Livelihood) from American Republicanism thanks to his educational years in Oahu College (later Punahou) in the Hawaiian Kingdom, then under strong American cultural and missionary influence
