🇺🇸🇺🇸❌🌹❗️🗳 — BREAKING: Missouri 1st congressional district candidate, Cori Bush has lost her primary race.

▶️Bush, a prominent member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and a leading figure in the progressive “Squad”.

📝The is a major lose for the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America)

🇺🇸❌🏴‍☠️💸 — Vice-Chair of the White House Fraud taskforce says Government programs created almost 100 years ago were designed for the "America that we were," a "high-trust society," where people played by the rules, which is no longer the case.

🇺🇸🗳📝 — DSA-affiliated Islamo-socialist Abdul El-Sayed won the Democratic primary for Michigan Senate, according to The Associated Press

He narrowly defeated the Democratic liberal Haley Stevens in a 48.48% x 47.51% contest, with a difference of 26,000 votes

🇺🇸 Stevens had the backing of Democratic leadership in Washington, an established record as an elected official in Michigan and deep financial pockets, including $32m from Aipac -the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.

🌹 Outside groups, as the DSA, favoured her over El-Sayed by a margin of nine-to-one.

🗳 This sets up a general election contest against former Republican Congressman Mike Rogers, who ran unopposed and will provide a high-stakes test of whether a DSA openly left-wing candidate can win a general election race in a true battleground state, with Rogers expected to win

➡️ If he wins, however, it could provide progressive Democrats with proof of concept for why a left-wing candidate for president in 2028 could be more successful than the kind of establishment centrists the party has nominated in recent contests.

➡️ If El-Sayed loses to Rogers, it could deal a mortal blow to Democratic hopes of retaking control of the US Senate, as a Republican hasn't won a Senate race in Michigan since 1994.

AIPAC and Israel are not the same as Judaism and the Jewish people... I love the Jewish people.

☀️📸 The world’s largest solar telescope made small vortices visible that are changing our understanding of the sun

Researchers from the U.S. National Science Foundation National Solar Observatory (NSF NSO), the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research (MPS) in Germany, and the High Altitude Observatory (HAO) in the USA have made a groundbreaking discovery in the field of solar physics. New images of the Sun’s surface taken with the world’s largest solar telescope, the NSF Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope, built and operated by the NSO in Hawaii, along with highly sophisticated computer simulations, reveal tiny plasma vortices that have never before been made visible.

🇺🇸🇺🇸 ❌🇨🇺🛠 — NYT: C.I.A. Sets Up Secret Cuba Task Force as Trump Pressures Havana

➡️ The C.I.A. has secretly established a Cuba task force, setting in motion plans for a more concerted campaign to pressure the Cuban government to make the economic, political and leadership changes demanded by President Trump, according to people briefed on the action.

➡️ The creation of the task force will allow the agency to quickly direct more financial, human and technical resources at Cuba, they said.

➡️ The task force has begun adding case officers who recruit and manage spies, intelligence analysts, officers who conduct cyberoperations and officers who specialize in covert influence operations, the people said.

📆 In 1960, the C.I.A. established an earlier Cuba task force, whose members oversaw the failed, agency-backed invasion of Cuba the next year known as the Bay of Pigs.

➡️ The people briefed on the new task force said its mandate is more limited: to create fissures among the Cuban political elite, in hope of pressuring the Cubans to replace perceived anti-American hard-liners with more practical leaders more amenable to Mr. Trump’s demands.

🇹🇼🪖 — Republic of China (Taiwan) launched the annual Han Kuang war games in face of tensions in East Asia, reports Reuters

➡️ Taiwan began major military drills on Wednesday to test commanders' ability to fight on the fly when enemy movements defy expectations, while temporarily limiting internet access ‌for the first time, senior Taiwan officials said.

➡️ The 10-day annual Han Kuang exercise began early in the morning after an underground command centre in Taipei issued the drill order, triggering combat-readiness moves that will include fighter jet dispersals and emergency naval deployments, two senior Taiwan officials briefed on the matter told Reuters.

➡️ Taiwan will also incorporate for the first time a so-called "backbrief" approach modelled on U.S. military practice, in which junior officers receiving orders restate mission details to commanders — a move aimed at improving coordination, the officials added, requesting anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter.

#BREAKING | 🇾🇪 🇾🇪 — Houthi missile and drone strikes kill at least 30 Yemeni government troops in Marib and Hadramout

Yemeni government sources report that Iran-backed Houthi militants launched attacks Thursday on military camps in Marib and Hadramout provinces, killing at least 30 soldiers (some sources cite 35–45) with the toll expected to rise. At least 15–80 others were wounded, according to varying accounts.

The strikes targeted camps of Saudi-backed government forces, including Emergency Forces units, at sites such as Al-Abr in Hadramout and areas east of Marib (including al-Rouk/al-Ruwayk). Yemeni military sources said approximately eight ballistic missiles were fired from Al-Jawf governorate, combined with explosive drones.

Houthi militia spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed the operation caused “hundreds” of casualties and destroyed camps, depots, and vehicles. Government sources framed the attacks as a response to their own recent security operations. The incident marks one of the deadliest escalations in Yemen in years amid rising tensions.
