🇬🇧🌹📹 — Sir Keir Starmer officially resigns as Prime-Minister of United Kingdom, saying in his last speech as prime minister that his successor has his "full support", as he thanks his family and Downing Street staff:

"As I now pass the baton to Andy Burnham, I wish him every success."

🇨🇾🕯📆 — On this 20 July 2026, in the event of the 52th anniversary of the Cypriot Tragedy, when the Turkish aggression and occupation against Cyprus started, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Constantinos Kombos, issued an Statement:

52 years since the disastrous and infamous day of the Turkish invasion.

A sorrowful anniversary of the contemptuous and provocative violation of international legality, human rights, and the entirety of the rules governing the international community.

A persistent violation that is still celebrated today without shame by the Turkish invader and occupier. Who believes that time and the power of the strong will fade the memory, render our duty dormant, and lead to the acceptance of faits accomplis.

Yet they labor under a regime of self-delusion.

For the memory is alive, as long as the occupation remains a daily and painful lived experience. For our ancestors, our fallen, and our missing have bequeathed to us an unshakeable duty and a heavy, historically grounded obligation.

An obligation and duty to free ourselves from the chains of occupation, to liberate and reunite our Cyprus.

With absolute and exclusive adherence to the Resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. As a Member State of the European Union, guided by the European acquis and the fundamental principles, values, and legislation of the EU.

"Never Forget" is not a slogan, but our way of survival.

Until vindication.

📝 Cyprus is the only EU country under direct military occupation, with 37% of their nation's territory being direct under Turkish Army, however, despite it, the EU leadership pretends nothing happens

🇪🇺🤝🇨🇾 — European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) on X:

20 July is a dark day for Cyprus and for Europe.

We stand firmly behind the just struggle to end the illegal occupation and achieve the liberation of Cyprus.

In light of the deeply concerning reports that have emerged in recent days, the ECR Group makes it clear that we will never consent to the racist partition of the island.

🇬🇷🤝🇨🇾 — In the event of the 52th Anniversary of the Turkish Aggression against Cyprus, the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued the following statement:

It has been 52 years since the Turkish invasion of 20 July 1974, which caused the territorial mutilation of the Republic of Cyprus and the ongoing drama of thousands of missing, displaced and trapped people in violation of every concept of international law.

Greece bows to the memory of the fallen and expresses its respect and gratitude to all those who bravely and selflessly defended the island.

The Cyprus problem remains to this day an international issue of illegal invasion and occupation of a member state of the EU and the UN.

In solidarity with the Republic of Cyprus, Greece is committed to the search for a comprehensive, mutually acceptable solution, on the basis of a Bizonal, Bicommunal Federation, with political equality of Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots, with one international personality, one sovereignty and one citizenship, within the framework established by the UN Security Council Resolutions and in accordance with the European acquis and the principles and values of the EU.

Greece remains ready and will continue to contribute constructively to the next steps of the ongoing effort of the UN Secretary-General, with the aim of resuming the talks, on the basis of the agreed framework, under the auspices of the UN.

The resolution of the Cyprus problem, within the parameters set by the United Nations Security Council, the reunification of the island and the lifting of the occupation of the territory of an EU member state, remains a top priority.

🇮🇱🤝🇨🇾❌🇹🇷 — Via statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel stated that the Jewish State reaffirms its "unwavering support for the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the Republic of Cyprus and stands in solidarity with Cyprus" against the Turkish occupation and Colonization of the Island

It should be noted that this is taking place amidst an escalation between Israel, Cyprus's closest ally after Greece itself, and the Ankara regime.

Israel reaffirms its unwavering support for the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the Republic of Cyprus and stands in solidarity with Cyprus, on the anniversary of the 1974 Turkish invasion.

The ongoing Turkish military presence in the north of the island, alongside Ankara's persistent attempts to alter the status quo through unilateral actions, is unacceptable.

As a strategic partner and neighbor of Cyprus, Israel calls for the resumption of negotiations toward a just, viable, and lasting solution to the conflict.

🇮🇷❌🇺🇸 — Speaker of Islamic Republic of Iran’s Parliament, MB Ghalibaf on X:
Americans keep bringing new military equipment to the region and claim they're after stopping the war.

They've bet on our intelligence being as brief as their own IQ.

We've reached the stage of mastery in recognizing these American games, and on that basis, we've prepared ourselves.

Actions must confirm claims, not contradict them.

🇪🇺⚠️ The closure of the Strait of Hormuz is choking out the EU out of its LNG supply

European imports are down 33% year-over-year (on a 30-day moving avg basis). That's because Asia is taking more US LNG to replace supply stuck in the Persian Gulf

Also, Europe imports at lowest seasonal level since 2021

🇾🇪❌🇸🇦 — Via its official media, the Iran-aligned Houthi terrorists in North Yemen announced maritime embargo against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in retaliation to what they called as a "12‑year‑long siege and aggression against Yemen", risking to put the Red Sea shipping lanes into a halt

➡️ The Houthis claim that it is a "eye-for-an-eye" policy, saying that now their rebel forces will enact a "siege for a siege", claiming that the Saudi monarchy will be faced with a 'comprehensive and decisive escalation' if they decide to respond with “foolish acts”.

In Statement, they said:
Statement by the Yemeni Armed Forces Regarding the Announcement of a Maritime Ban on the Saudi Enemy in Response to the Siege and Aggression, and Affirming Full Readiness - July 20, 2026

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
God says: "But those who, after suffering injustice, turn back to God and forgive, and who repel evil with good, for them is a reward from God, and He is the All-Knowing."

The Saudi enemy continues its unjust and brutal siege on our dear people, for nearly twelve years, plundering resources and imposing a comprehensive blockade on ports, airports, and land borders, which has exacerbated the suffering of our dear people to an unbearable level, without any right or justification for it. This is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated, as it is not based on any right, legal, or humanitarian grounds, and it has no legitimacy. It is a false and aggressive siege, and its consequences are disastrous for our dear Yemeni people. It also began with aggression against our country by targeting Sana'a International Airport in a blatant and treacherous act. Our people cannot endure this unjust siege and aggression without taking a stand. Our great people are a faithful and striving people, a people of faith and wisdom, and they are the bearers of a just cause, and they have the full right to confront this siege and aggression by all available means.

Therefore, in response to the calls of our dear and striving people in the massive million-person demonstration on the day of warning and mobilization, and the previous gatherings and large tribal stands, the Yemeni Armed Forces affirm the following:

First: The Yemeni Armed Forces announce a maritime ban on the Saudi enemy, based on the principle of "siege for siege," which will take effect from the moment this statement is announced.

Second: We affirm the right of our great people to respond to the siege with a siege and to escalate with a comprehensive escalation, and to solidify this equation.

Third: The Yemeni Armed Forces affirm their full readiness for all options, and that any recklessness committed by the Saudi enemy through a comprehensive escalation will be met with a comprehensive and harsh escalation, by God's will and power.

Fourth: We call on the sons of our great people to continue the general mobilization and mobilization, and to be fully prepared for all scenarios and developments, and to support the fronts with fighters.

Fifth: We extend greetings with pride and reverence to the sons of our great Yemeni people who came out in an unprecedented million-person demonstration of warning and mobilization, and we assure them that we will not spare any effort in recovering their plundered rights and ending the unjust siege against them, no matter the consequences, relying on God and trusting in Him.

God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. He is our Lord and our Helper.
May Yemen live free, proud, and independent.
Victory is for Yemen and for all the free people of the nation.

Sana'a, 6th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1448 AH
Corresponding to July 20, 2026.
Issued by the Yemeni Armed Forces.

📝 It should be noted that this siege, as brutal as it may be, occurred after the same Zaydi Shia militants unilaterally plunged the country into civil war during the Arab Spring and violently seized power in the Yemeni Capital

The Likud's Constitution Committee has approved Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's proposal that primary elections can be cancelled if the 'security situation' (like a possible return to war with Iran) deteriorates, allowing Netanyahu to pick the candidates that will run for the party in the general election.

Netanyahu speaking to the Likud Constitution Committee: I am in favor of primaries, but there is a possibility that we may find ourselves in an extraordinary security situation that would make it difficult to hold conventions. This could happen on the day of the vote or before, and it would make voting difficult.

Likud is Israel's largest right-wing political party, founded in 1973. Benjamin Netanyahu has led Likud for most of the past 3 decades and has served multiple terms as Israel's prime minister under the party's banner, making him its dominant political figure and longest-serving leader.

#BREAKING | 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 — U.S. President Donald Trump says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "will not be arrested, in any way, shape, or form, while in the United States of America."

Trump's remarks come amid discussions about a potential Netanyahu trip to New York for the UN General Assembly and comments from NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani regarding possible enforcement of an ICC arrest warrant.

NOTE | 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 🇺🇳 — The United States does not recognize the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC) over its citizens or allies.

The U.S. is not a party to the Rome Statute and has actively opposed ICC actions against American or Israeli officials, including through sanctions and diplomatic protections. There is no legal obligation for the U.S. to enforce ICC arrest warrants.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani lacks the authority or competence to arrest Netanyahu. Such matters fall under federal jurisdiction, and Netanyahu would enjoy diplomatic immunity and protections as head of government during a UN visit. Legal experts describe Mamdani’s suggestions as political rhetoric with no practical path forward.

IDF is helping Venezuela in the longest humanitarian assistance mission in the history of the Home Front Command

Remarks by the Commander of the National Search and Rescue Unit and Head of the Emergency Mission to Venezuela, Brig. Gen. (Res.) Yossi Pinto:

We are currently in the area of greatest destruction in La Guaira, near Caracas, Venezuela.

The coastline here has sustained extensive damage. Hundreds of buildings have been destroyed, making this a complex and large-scale disaster.

We are now at the beginning of the mission’s third week of operations. Approximately 32 Israeli experts are working here, assisting the Venezuelan authorities in transitioning from the immediate emergency response phase to the rehabilitation phase.

Our primary effort is focused on offering the knowledge, experience, and capabilities we have accumulated in Israel and around the world. We are helping develop a national situational assessment, supporting decision-making processes, setting priorities, and laying the groundwork for the long-term rehabilitation effort.

This is a phase that will continue for many months and even years. Our goal is to provide them with the best professional tools available to help them address the complex challenges ahead.

We are working in close cooperation with the local authorities. They are highly receptive to the recommendations and insights we bring, and the fact that the Israeli mission continues operating here even after most international missions have already departed adds significant value to the overall effort.

I hope that our joint work and the tools we are leaving behind will help Venezuela address the rehabilitation challenge as effectively as possible in the years ahead.
