Hello,

Cyprus does not have limitations on who can and cannot open up a bank account in Cyprus. Both residents and nonresidents are allowed to open up bank accounts in Cyprus. If you are interested in opening an account you should know that you can either open up an account by mail from abroad or you can open up an account in person either physically in Cyprus at the bank of your choice or by visiting an international branch of a Cypriot bank.

So yes, anyone can open a Cyprus bank account 🙂

Just wanted to comment here, beside the above which is true, you will need an introducer in order to open a bank account in Cyprus, no bank will take on new clients "from the street".

Thank you for your answer, good to know that everyone is accepted.

I didn't know that I'll need an introducer, thanks for the information 🙂

Oh, yes Admin, you are right, I keep this in mind from now on 🙂

Gald you liked my answer sofoklis.

Cyprus is a member of European Union. Ever since the debacle of US Banks and financial institutions , Bank Account opening guide lines are strong in Cypros and else where in the world. Anybody can open a Bank account in Cyprus but you need the hard copy of your identity and resident proof besides a local introducer, who should have a Bank Account in the same Bank.

You mean you want to open a bank account on the behalf of someone or you want to open an account on your behalf??
