This is correct. The primary goal is simply to stay on the Monero blockchain, eliminating any risk of coin discrimination. They run their own Monero node together with their own BTCPay Server.
Do you get a decent USD conversion rate compared to, let’s say, going through Wagyu?
I haven’t booked any flights with them yet because the service is new. From my experience on their e‑commerce site they offer a very competitive rate. Likely better than Wagyu’s. They also try to encourage their customers to use Monero.
