i emailed a money transfer expert and this is what he told me about bitcoin usage in the united states, I am not privy to any secret financial authority that monitors hacked activity, however, all bitcoins brought/sold in the United States are tracked (as required by law) by all the legal exchanges and/or companies dealing in bitcoin. What inferences they (the law enforcement authorities) can get out of it, is anyone's guess.


what exactly does he mean by that? all bitcoins brought/sold in the united states are tracked by law? rsvp.

Well, I\m sure that everyone that opens a Bicoin account / wallet is providing either no information or fake information. So how they want to trace people may indeed be guessing!

I say they try to get access to people's bitcoin accounts and many may even have registered an account in their name, mostly when using a US based bitcoin wallet where it is required.

All others they can't catch!!
