I'm a Malta resident, registered as a full-time employee earning approximately €70,000 gross per year. In addition to this, I offer consultancy services in my spare time, and I'm forecasting around €150,000 in additional income this year from these freelance activities.

I'm not considering physically relocating abroad.

Thanks in advance!

If you can increase your profit, the 5% Malta tax would definitely make sense, but you will need a couple of companies.

Thread 'Malta 5% scheme structure formation'

Aug 4, 2020
Hi there, first of all, thanks for sharing such important information online.

I want to set up a foreign holding with a Maltese subsidiary to achieve the infamous 5% tax scheme.
Do you know any good but reasonably priced tax advisor/accountant to achieve this?

Thank you very much for your help and precious time!

what would the costs be to setup a couple of companies and will they all need to be in Malta or where ?
