The answer to that question is worth a lot to people who want or need to understand languages.
Maybe someday I'll figure out a way to "monetize" my experience.
If you have any suggestions for doing that,
@AndyAresa, please let me know and maybe we can work out a trade so you can get answers to your questions.
Here's a free "preview".
From the perspective of "bearer assets" which languages to learn is not so important.
Thinking ahead some years, a good language to learn now could be︀ Hindi.
Or perhaps Texan !
(Don't laugh. With all the "brain drain" out of California︁ into Texas, could be quite useful.
And for those who don't think "Texan" is a︂ language, well, just try to do business there without it.)
What is far more important︃ than any specific language is learning how to learn languages.
That's the essential skill.
With that in your brain, you'll have a valuable bearer asset you can take anywhere.
And it can never be assessed import duty or confiscated by customs.
Well, as long as︄ I am giving away one free preview, might as well give away another one.
Learning to speak or read a foreign language is not so important these days.
A.I. and︅ various other translation programs already do a great job of that on any smart phone.︆
The value is learning the cultural foundation, the values and behavior of the people who︇ use that language.
Already I've realized huge returns on my investment in languages as a︈ "bearer asset".
Not necessarily the kind of returns that can be quantified in a ledger,︉
but the kind that have benefits in daily life and doing business.
I wish now︊ -- at this advanced age -- that in previous years I had put even more︋ time and effort into learning more about languages.
