Hi there,

Please share your experience regarding API Bank AD Beograd.

Their swift code is listed under US Russia-Ukraine related sanctions list. Although the name of the bank there is written as MOSKOVSKA BANKA AD; a.k.a. VTB BANKA AD BEOGRAD.

Is API Bank AD Beograd still blacklisted or has any restrictions dealing with European banks?
Can anyone share his experience as a client of that bank?

no wonder that you don't get replies. Where are you‍ living, everything that just smells Russia is banned worldwide at the moment.

Are you generalizing‍ or you are stating the fact regarding API Bank AD Beograd in particular?

They seemed⁠ to be blacklisted in 2016, then in 2018 they underwent the change of shareholders to⁤ get rid of sanctions and changed the name of the bank. But still it's unclear⁣ whether sanctions were lifted completely and how they are treated by Europeans banks.

Please share⁢ practical knowledge, not just assumptions and generalizations.

Just open in some other bank. At least in Serbia that's pretty simple. Go with‌ some Austrian (RaiffeisenBank) or German (ProCredit Bank) and you should be just fine...
