Speaking to the team seems like a viable option does anyone have any experience their trust pilot reviews seem pretty horrible but I don't know how serious to take them.

Generally, I do not think that Trustpilot reviews should be taken much seriously. In many cases, their validity is close to zero (both positively and negatively biased reviewers, many times do not understanding the matter, unclear background of the situation, etc.)
