Yes, you are right.

makes AED 6000 (2800 visa+3200 registration fees)for the 3 year visa, right? Looks︅ like they don't offer 1 year.

1 day a year or basically you can land in the morning go through immigration get‍ a stamp, have a coffee and get back on the next plane out to your destination.

Six months is not actually 6 months
UAE
immigration calculates six months as 180 days. This means that a resident with a valid visa should return to UAE before 180 days. They will not able to return to enter UAE after 180 days without a special permit.

This info from a simple google⁤ search and also its true once every six months or validity expires. Secondly I have⁣ an email directly from AFZA (Ajman Freezone authority ) which does not require any office⁢ space rental for freelance visa.

Can we briefly sum up. In order to setup a company within the UAE including‌ some banking facility it will require at min. a 6 months VISA and we travel‍ there to open the account.

Beside that we will need to deposit minimum 100K US$ or equivalant, is that how we have to understand it so far?

Furthermore we need⁤ to take into consideration that after the first 6 months the VISA will be expired⁣ and you will need to get a new one somehow?

Not at all.
You only have to be in UAE for 1 day every 6‌ months but its actually every 175 days. You can get 1 or 3 year visa‍ just need to be there for one day to keep it active every 175 days.

Personal account can be opened in immediately and corporate account in 2 weeks. This can⁤ be done in one meeting at the bank but you have to go there.

Minimum balance if they request it to be about 500 max.

Company can be set up⁣ before you go there so you are only opening bank accounts and residency procedures which⁢ take 5 days max.

Because of Covid-19, there are certain restrictions. It is currently not possible to do it‌ in 5 days, you need to schedule at least 2 weeks.

okay and it is easy to get that VISA or is it complicated and you‌ need some professional with you?

shall we be quarantined when we arrive?

I have just done one you can wait but my client didn't.

Client registered a company about a month ago. She went to Fujairah on the 15th, had her⁤ blood test 16th and bank account appointment.

Personal account opened on the 17th and she⁣ left on the 21st, corporate account opened yesterday with Mashreq Bank.

You don't need to⁢ be there to wait for your bank account.

We actually sent all the documents in︀ advance for the bank account so it was just for her to present herself and︁ the originals and sign the forms.

okay clear, so I can do this on my own and just look at the‌ surroundings some days while I'm waiting for the documents to be ready, so I go‍ back to the bank pickup the docs and fly home.

No you have to take a PCR test 96 hours before departure from‍ an approved centre.
You can still be quarantined if you have a high temperature above 43 but they isolate you first for 2 hours and then test again. If you⁤ fly through Emirates they will contribute $100 a night towards your stay at a quarantine⁣ hotel if you test positive.

Best to use an agent as the people that work⁢ at the freezones are not so helpful. Plus they have a good relationship with the︀ freezone and banks so they get more traction then you would.

perfect, I have no problems with that, looks like an easy task and some holidays‌ too 😀 Will try to get it done. Do you know if this is applicable for‍ Dubai too?

Yes its all the same except the Abu Dhabi freezones like KIZAD you definitely need an agent.

The weather is fantastic there right⁤ now, very hot and cheap as there is not many tourists you can negotiate with⁣ the hotels directly.

That's good, I will get a flight to Dubai for next week and get it‌ all setup. Will be posting here or open a new thread with how it is‍ going. Have been in Dubai a few times before so I know how it is there.

It could depend on the free zone, but at least for some free‌ zones, it is currently not possible to apply for the entry permit outside the country.‍ You need to enter the country and then apply for an entry permit, that is for your visa to be changed from a tourist visa to a residency visa. During⁤ normal times, they would be able to process the entry permit while you’re outside the⁣ country, which will save you several days in the UAE.

You pay⁢ between 50-100 to convert your tourist visa to resident visa. That doesn't stop you from︀ staying there and you can leave without it and collect it when you come back.︁ The 180 day rule starts from the day you leave so be mindful of that.︂

Okay as I said I don't mind to stay there for some weeks or even‌ a month if required I work with my laptop in the hand from anywhere 😀

Sure. But you said it takes 5 days⁤ and that’s currently not the case because you have to do the conversion. In usual⁣ times, you could skip that part and just apply for the residency visa while outside⁢ the UAE. So at the moment, it takes a bit longer. Just a heads up.︀

I already had the virus last month and a‍ certificate which proves it. Can I just show this to them? Some countries let you in if you can prove that you already had it in the last 6 months...⁤

Also, I asked my email contract from ajman gov where I can send in my⁣ documents but haven't heard back from her. I think I need some kind of login⁢ from them, but how do I get it?

Thanks for your inside information. Also how︀ much does your service cost?
