I picked them up in person. You are right there is a risk with sending by mail, but if they are sent to the same person indicated on the docs and within Europe it shouldn't be an issue. For example, if you visit a friend and you forget you passport at his place, it is normal that he sends the doc to you.

Overthinking will result everything ending up in too risky to try 😛

You will never want to receive the docs by mail. Everything has to go electronically and through encrypted connections i.e. mail and vpn. Don't ever go for real docs send to your mail box!

there are countless times mentioned on the forum how to receive parcels anonymous. Abandoned houses is the best solution.
