I see ESR filling mentioned couple times...is it required even if you are not falling‌ in those ESR categories? From my understanding it not applies to all companies?

It applies to all companies and no need to fill if you're⁠ not dealing with the related activities.

It completely depends on your business nature. If your business falls into related activities then‌ you have file a notification(+report probably) otherwise you don't have to do anything(no notification or‍ report).

If you do any profit shifting between foreign company you are a shareholder or director‌ of and your UAE company then ESR definitely applies. Again sometimes what we think may‍ not be seen the same as per the law.
